South Bend Central Development Area <br />(7) continued... <br />Morris; therefore, it has the most <br />knowledge about the system and is the <br />firm best qualified to make <br />modifications to it. <br />Public Works has reviewed the proposal <br />and found it to be acceptable. The <br />Commission is requested to approve the <br />proposal and to authorize funding up to <br />$825 to provide for completion of the <br />modification and contingencies. <br />Mr. Hunt asked if the Vine Restaurant <br />will have a separate alarm system. <br />Mr. Mathia responded that the Vine will <br />have its own alarm system, operating <br />and billed independently; however, it <br />will be tied to the Palais security <br />system. <br />Staff recommends accepting the <br />proposal from SCI Alarm, Inc. in the <br />not -to- exceed amount of $825. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved the request <br />for security modification in the South <br />Bend Central Development Area and <br />authorized staff to retain SCI Alarm, <br />Inc. based on the scope of services and <br />fee proposed.
