Public Hearings <br />(5) continued... <br />Mr. Hunt opened the Public Hearing on <br />Resolution No. 2041 and asked if there was <br />anyone from the public who wished to <br />speak. <br />Mr. Scott Nissley of Meadowbrook <br />Management addressed the Commission. <br />Fiscal 2003 was a great year for the golf <br />course. In moving forward, the 2004 <br />budget corresponds to the needs of the City. <br />Outing sales have increased and current <br />trends are encouraging. In 2003, expenses <br />were maintained at a good level, revenues <br />were increased and Blackthorn received a <br />"better than market share" of golfers. <br />Mr. Hunt asked if there was anyone else <br />from the public who wished to speak. <br />There being no one further from the public <br />who wished to speak regarding Resolution <br />No. 2041, Mr. Hunt closed the Public <br />Hearing for whatever action the <br />Commission wished to take. <br />(6) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2041. <br />Mr. Hunt noted for the record that he <br />previously met with the management of <br />Blackthorn Golf Course to discuss the 2004 <br />budget and clarify any questions or <br />concerns. This objective was achieved to <br />satisfaction. Mr. Hunt congratulated <br />representatives from Blackthorn Golf <br />Course on the performance of 2003. <br />G8 <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 2041 <br />APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF CERTAIN LOCAL <br />PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2004, AND ENDING <br />DECEMBER 31, 2004, INCLUDING ALL <br />OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS, FIXING <br />A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT. <br />(BLACKTHORN GOLF COURSE) <br />
