South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting—February 20, 2004 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />C. Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area and authorized staff to <br />retain Hull & Associates, Inc. based on the <br />scope of services and fee proposed. <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area. <br />(Survey services, SEDA expansion <br />project) <br />40� Mr. Schalliol reported that as part of the <br />process for the future expansion of the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area, staff <br />needs to retain a survey firm to review the <br />existing legal description for the area and <br />create two new boundary maps for two <br />future expansion areas. Wightman Petrie, <br />Inc. has submitted a proposal for the survey <br />services for this project in an amount <br />not -to- exceed $1,000. <br />Staff recommends accepting the proposal <br />from Wightman Petrie, Inc. <br />Mr. Hunt noted that the proposal included a <br />late charge of 1 % percent to be added to any <br />unpaid balance after fifteen days. <br />Mr. Schalliol responded that the late charge <br />wording will be stricken from the proposal. <br />14 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE SAMPLE -EWING <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA AND AUTHORIZED STAFF TO <br />RETAIN HULL & ASSOCIATES, INC. BASED ON THE <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE PROPOSED. <br />
