Redevelopment Commission Meeting <br />ILRescheduled Regular Meeting— October 8, 2004 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />D. Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />(3) continued... <br />number of other generally nice things for Mr. <br />Dotson. Mr. Williams is to be commended <br />for his services. Mr. Dotson is now living in <br />a very nice facility on Foundation Drive and <br />U.S. 23 and he is very happy with his new <br />home. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Hunt and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area and <br />accepted the proposal from Ritschard <br />Brothers for the scope of services and fee <br />proposed. <br />E. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for irrigation upgrades for <br />Blackthorn Golf Course in the Airport <br />Economic Development Area. <br />Mr. Inks noted that John Quickstad, <br />Maintenance Supervisor at Blackthorn Golf <br />Course, solicited bids for seven additional <br />sprinklers which will be placed around the <br />greens to more efficiently water the bluegrass <br />rough. These quotes included a new <br />controller to replace an existing controller <br />which can no longer handle the increase in <br />sprinkler heads. The recommendation is to <br />accept the low bid from Kenny Outdoor <br />Solutions for $6,643.40. This purchase was <br />included in the long term capital plan <br />previously approved and budgeted in the <br />18 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSALS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE <br />SAMPLE -EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA AND <br />ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM RITSCHARD <br />BROTHERS FOR THE SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />PROPOSED. <br />
