South Bend Central Development Area <br />(6) continued... <br />School Corporation occupies the Century <br />Building. A new survey of on- and off - street <br />parking is required to update the draft <br />sections of the comprehensive parking study <br />which are now being reviewed by staff. <br />Mr. Inks noted that Walker Parking <br />Consultants has submitted a proposal to do <br />an additional count of on- and off - street <br />parking spaces for a fee of $7,900 plus <br />reimbursables. Mr. Inks noted that City and <br />DTSB staff will accompany Walker to better <br />familiarize everyone on how the count is <br />conducted and make sure we have a good <br />count that we feel comfortable explaining. <br />Mr. Hunt asked if Walker had ever submitted <br />a report for their previous services. Mr. Inks <br />responded that they submitted all seven <br />sections of a draft report which are being <br />reviewed by Community and Economic <br />Development as well as the Department of <br />Engineering. <br />Ms. Greene pointed out to the Commission <br />that the proposal includes certain <br />reimbursable expenses over and above the <br />contract price. These expenses include the <br />cost of travel, living expenses, purchase or <br />rental of specialized equipment, photographs <br />and drawings, document production, postage, <br />delivery costs, long distance phone, <br />facsimile, additional service consultants and <br />other related project expenses which are <br />billed at a 1.5% cost of those expenses. <br />C, 14 <br />
