Airport Economic Development Area <br />(3) Staff report on acquisition of property <br />in the Airport Economic Development <br />Area. (Bosch) <br />Ms. Hughes noted that Resolution <br />No. 2064 previously amended the Airport <br />Economic Development Area <br />Development Plan to add twenty -five <br />properties to the acquisition list. These <br />properties are part of a voluntary <br />acquisition strategy the Commission and <br />redevelopment staff has initiated to <br />facilitate the eventual expansion of the <br />Bosch corporate facility. Resolution No. <br />2108 set the acquisition price for these <br />properties based on the average of two <br />independent appraisals. On this basis <br />written offers were sent by Certified Mail <br />to the individual property owners. <br />Today we have counter offers for seven <br />of these properties. Staff has worked to <br />ensure fairness in the negotiation process <br />with all involved and finds these counter <br />offers reasonable and within the budget <br />originally laid out for the project.
