South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — March 4, 2005 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearings <br />(1) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 2143 <br />amending the South Side Development <br />Area Development Plan. <br />Mr. Inks reported that the Public Hearing file <br />was complete and requested the following <br />items be entered into the record: (1) A copy <br />of the Notice of Hearing; (2) Affidavits from <br />the Tri County News and South Bend <br />Tribune that the Notice of Public Hearing <br />was published in those newspapers on <br />February 11, 2005; (3) A copy of Resolution <br />No. 2143; (4) A statement from Mr. Schalliol <br />that on February 4, 2005, copies of the <br />Notice of Public Hearing were sent to the <br />affected property owners and registered <br />neighborhood associations; and (5) As of <br />10:00 a.m. this morning, no written <br />remonstrances were received. <br />Mr. Schalliol reported that Resolution <br />No. 2143 amends the South Side <br />Development Area Development Plan by <br />adding one (1) parcel to the acquisition list. <br />The parcel is located at 4209 South Main <br />Street. In addition, the property is located <br />south of 4201 South Main Street; a property <br />presently owned by the Redevelopment <br />Commission. The acquisition of the parcel is <br />necessary to facilitate infrastructure <br />improvements within the Erskine Hills <br />Shopping District and is consistent with the <br />goals and objectives of the South Side <br />Development Area Development Plan. <br />Ms. Greene noted that under I.C. 36 -7 -14, the <br />Commission is not required to have evidence <br />or make findings that were required for the <br />ILI 5 <br />
