South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — March 18, 2005 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />D. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Mr. Williams reported that Meridian Title <br />Corporation has submitted a proposal to <br />conduct a title search on the former Osco <br />Drug building for a fee of $200. Staff <br />recommends accepting the proposal from <br />Meridian Title Corporation. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and authorized <br />staff to retain Meridian Title Corporation <br />based on the scope of services and fee <br />proposed. <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(Survey services at 124 -128 S. Michigan <br />Street, formerly Osco Drugs) <br />Mr. Williams reported that three (3) <br />proposals were received to provide a <br />disposition boundary survey of the Osco's <br />site. The proposals are as follows: <br />Danch, Hamer & Associates $2,800 <br />Lang Feeney & Associates $ 700 <br />Wightman Petrie, Inc. $1,400 <br />Staff recommends accepting the proposal <br />from Lang Feeney & Associates in the <br />amount of $700. <br />G <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE SOUTH BEND <br />CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA AND <br />AUTHORIZED STAFF TO RETAIN MERIDIAN TITLE <br />CORPORATION BASED ON THE SCOPE OF <br />SERVICES AND FEE PROPOSED. <br />
