1cSouth Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />, Regular Meeting — May 6, 2005 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />I. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area <br />There was no business in the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area. <br />J. Other <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services. <br />(Appraisals, 24800, 24810, and 24820 <br />LWW) <br />Mr. Williams reported that four (4) proposals <br />were requested for the appraisal of 24800, <br />24810 and 24820 Lincolnway West in order <br />to establish fair market value for possible <br />acquisition of the three parcels. The <br />proposals were as follows: <br />Ralph D. Lauver, MAI $4,250 <br />R. E. McCloskey & Associates $2,500 <br />Jerome E. Michaels, MAI $4,250 <br />R. E. Pitts & Associates $2,700 <br />Two appraisals are required for acquisition of <br />property. Staff recommends accepting the <br />proposals from R. E. McCloskey & <br />Associates and R. E. Pitts & Associates in <br />the amounts of $2,500 and $2,700 <br />respectively. <br />Mr. King commented on the wide <br />discrepancy among the proposals and asked <br />staff if there was an equal understanding of <br />the Request For Proposal. <br />Mr. Williams responded that all four bidders <br />actually inspected the properties and were <br />given the same materials for consideration. <br />G <br />THERE WAS NO BUSINESS IN THE NORTHEAST <br />NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT AREA. <br />
