Tax Abatements <br />(1) continued... <br />petition for personal property must first be <br />approved by the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission. The project meets the <br />qualifications for a five (5) year personal <br />property tax under the Tax Abatement <br />Ordinance. <br />Mr. Deahl requested the Commission's <br />approval of the tax abatement request on the <br />purchase of new printing equipment. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. King and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2189 <br />approving an application for personal <br />property tax deduction for property located at <br />301 E. Sample St. in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. (Mossberg Printing) <br />B. Housing <br />(1) Commission approval requested for Loan <br />and Grant in connection with the South <br />Bend Home Improvement Program for <br />property located at 407 N. Johnson Street. <br />(Susan D. Hawkins) <br />Mr. Inks noted that the loan is in the amount <br />of $3,700. The grant is $7,500. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, seconded <br />by Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Loan and Grant in <br />connection with the South Bend Home <br />Improvement Program for property located at <br />407 N.
