South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Rescheduled Regular Meeting —June 8, 2007
6. NEW BUSINESS CONT.
K. Other
(2) continued...
would he reqicirecl, foY occupctncy.
Our firm opened its ,South Bend office in
2003 with a staff of two professionals. Since
then we have grown to cc staff of f fteen with
the intention of nrldr.'ng an caciclitianrzl staff
immediately. Our current location an Scott
Street has nearly net its capacity. It has
been our intention as well to be apart of the
location of the downtown business district to
continue to help in the development of the
downtown area.
In regard to our current property, we have
negotiated a sale with our neighbor which
will allow them to expand their business as
well. We view this proposed project with the
Enzyme m Research building and out current
property as a winning opportunity, not only
for oases, but for other downtown
business, and importantly, the City of South
Bend.
If you have any questions regarding this
matter, please feel free to contact one at any
time.
Sincerely,
David Rafinsky
Mr. Schalliol noted that the bid did not meet
the bid requirements, As notes earlier, it is
no - eonfor ing bid. Staff would like to
continue negotiations with WIghtman Petrie
and, hopefully, bn'ncF a proposal to the
Commission after the 30-clay waiting period.
