Public Hearings <br />(20) continued... <br />He acknowledged the hard work it took to <br />prepare for these annual allocations. <br />B. Tax Abatements <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2307 approving an <br />application for real property tax deduction <br />for property located at 511 East Colfax <br />and 210 North Niles in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Odyssian <br />Technology) <br />Mr. Schalliol gave the staff report on both the <br />real and personal property abatements for <br />Odyssian Technology's project. Odyssian <br />Technology is purchasing two buildings in <br />the East Bank Development Area. Plans are <br />to renovate the 2,800 square foot Colfax <br />Avenue building by making a new entry, <br />adding windows, redesigning the office <br />space, adding a kitchen break room, <br />conference room, engineering center and <br />restrooms. The facade will be reworked by <br />adding windows, new doors, lighting, <br />landscaping, and paving the parking area. <br />The empty lot will be redeveloped into a <br />courtyard with a wrought iron gate and a few <br />parking spaces. The facility will be set up <br />with state of the art information technology <br />capabilities. The Niles Avenue facility has <br />2,588 square feet and will be renovated by <br />replacing doors and windows, power <br />washing and painting, replacing the roof, <br />resurfacing floors, adding security and <br />lighting, and any utilities improvements <br />14 <br />
