SPECIAL MEETING <br />~a~ <br />APRIL 2, 2007 <br />TYPE DESCRIPTION BUSINESS AMOUNT MOTION/ <br />CARRIED <br />Contract Olive Road and Selge Construction $2,322,714.35 Gilot/Inks <br /> Brick Road Co., 2833 South 11~' <br /> Reconstruction - Street, Niles, <br /> Project No. 107- Michigan <br /> 001- AEDA TIF <br />APPROVAL OF PROCESSION -FALLEN HEROES FAMILY RIDE <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and <br />Lighting, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in <br />reference to a request as submitted by American Legion Post #308, Osceola, to conduct <br />the above referred to procession, on May 20, 2007, on the designated route as submitted. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Fallen Heroes <br />Family Ride was approved. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION -PETITION TO VACATE THE NORTH HALF <br />OF SECOND ALLEY EAST OF MAPLE STREET BETWEEN WASHINGTON <br />STREET AND JEFFERSON BOULEVARD <br />Mr. Gilot indicated that Ms. Charlotte Sobel, South Bend Heritage, has submitted a <br />request to vacate the above referred to alley. Mr. Gilot advised that the Board is in <br />receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area <br />Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, Department of <br />Economic Development and the Department of Public Works. Therefore, Mr. Littrell <br />made a motion that the Board recommend the alley vacation be approved by the Common <br />Council, and Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Gilot noted that the claims were not City of South Bend claims, as stated on the <br />Agenda, but St. Joseph County Housing Consortium claims. Mr. Gilot stated that the <br />following claims were submitted to the board for approval: <br /> Name Amount of Claim Date <br />St. Jose h Coun Housin Consortium $4,023.43 March 9, 2007 <br />St. Jose h Count Housin Consortium $2,873.35 March 9, 2007 <br />St. Jose h Coun Housin Consortium $1,416.00 March 9, 2007 <br />St. Jose h Coun Housin Consortium $5,000.00 March 5, 2007 <br />Mr. Inks made a motion that the claims be approved and the reports as submitted be filed. <br />Mr. Littxell seconded the motion, which carried. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:59 a.m. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />ATTEST: <br />n a M.
