Zoning Administrator <br />This ordinance is to keep us in compliance with Ordinance No. 8412-93, subsection 1, which <br />established the Consolidated Building Department as an enterprise fund. It is our responsibility <br />to monitor fees in order to assure that we continue to be self-supporting. <br />In an effort to keep the Department running with a cash reserve, we have left four (4) positions <br />vacate over the past year. We still feel it is necessary to increase the fees due to rising costs, <br />such as postage from 37¢ to 41¢, gas from $1.20 to $2.90 a gallon, and total increase in benefits <br />of $67,500, since the 2004 fee increase. <br />If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />(• <br />Donald F.
