COMMUNITYAND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />2006 Common Council <br />The May S, 2005 meeting of the Community and Economic Development Committee <br />was called to order by its Chairperson, Councilmember Roland Kelly, at 3:40 p.m. in the <br />Council Informal Meeting Room. <br />Persons in attendance included Council Members Puzzello, Professor Martin Wolfson, <br />Citizen Member on the Community and Economic Development Committee, Bob Mathia <br />and John Sellers, Community and Economic Development. <br />Bill No. 26-06: An_nronriation HUD Shelter Plus Care Grant Program Fund #21.2 <br />John Sellers, Community anal Economic Development Department presented. <br />Councilmember Puzzello made a motion, seconded by Citizen Member Martin Wolfson <br />to send this bill to the Full Council with a favorable recommendation. <br />Bill No. 06-39; Tax Abateanaeut - 915 North Notre Dame Avenue -Thomas and <br />Shannan Guinan <br />Bob Mathia, Community and Economic Development Department explained the request <br />for residential tax abatement for 915 N. Notre Dame Avenue. <br />Councilmember Puzzello made a motion seconded by Citizen Member Martin Wolfson <br />to send this bill to the Full Council with a favorable recommendation. <br />Bill No. 06-40: Tax Abatement - 711 & 715 California Avenue -Near Northwest <br />Neighborhood, Inc. <br />Bob Mathia explained the request for residential abatement for 711 & 71 S California <br />Avenue. Doug Merritt ofthe NNW Neighborhood Organization elaborated . <br />Councilmember Puzzello made a motion seconded by Citizen Member Martin Wolfson <br />to send this bill to the bull Council with a favorable recommendation. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee, Councilmember Kelly <br />adjourned the meeting at 3:54 p.m. <br />spectfully submitted, <br />,~~° <br />Q,, <br />Roland Kelly, Chairperson <br />Community and Economic Development Committee <br />JV:mbw <br />
