Burke Engineering, Ltd ( CBBEL) is pleased to provide this proposal for <br />professional engineering services related to the Demolition of 4215 Main Street in the <br />City of South Bend. The following is our understanding of the assignment, scope of <br />services, and estimated fee in support of the project. <br />UNDERSTANDING OF THE ASSIGNMENT <br />CBBEL understands the City is seeking assistance in the development of quote <br />documents for the demolition of the property at 4215 Main Street. The project is being <br />proposed by the City as a means to prepare the property for future development or for <br />use in a separate Public Works improvement project. <br />The project includes the preparation of an Asbestos Survey in support of the proposed <br />demolition and the demolition project specifications. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Services to be provided by CBBEL for this work have been identified as follows: <br />Task 1- Asbestos Survey <br />An Asbestos - Containing Building Material (ACBM) survey will be performed for the <br />existing residential structure by our sub - contractor, Phifer Environmental Services, LLC, <br />(PES) a State of Indiana Certified. Asbestos Inspector. The surveys will begin with a <br />walk- through of the existing structures to document the locations of friable and non - <br />friable materials that may be present. Friable materials are those that can be pulverized <br />or reduced to powder by moderate pressure, such as spray - applied fireproofing and <br />Christopher B. Burke Engineering Ltd.
