REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 13, 2006 <br />ACADEMY CROSS COUNTRY TEAMhas enabled each of them to be excellent role <br />models with each team member bringing the highest of honors to themselves, their family <br />and friends, the LaSalle Intermediate Center, the South Bend Community School <br />Corporation and all of the residents of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Section III . The Common Council wishes the LA SALLE INTERMEDIATE <br />ACADEMY CROSS COUNTRY TEAM the very best in the years ahead, both in the <br />classroom and on the cross country field as they continue to bring honor to this Four Star <br />School and the entire South Bend Community. <br />Section IV . Luecke, Mayor <br />Councilmember Kirsits, 722 Marquette Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, made the <br />presentation for this Resolution by first offering his comments and then reading the <br />Resolution in its entirety and presenting it to the Cross Country Team Members and <br />Athletic Coordinator, Ms. Colleen Doyle. <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br />There was no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this Resolution. <br />Ms. Colleen Doyle, Athletic Coordinator, LaSalle Intermediate Academy, South Bend, <br />Indiana, thanked the Council for this honor. She stated that these kids ran, and ran, and <br />ran, and ran, for the entire season. That’s all they did from August to October is run! <br />Ms. Doyle stated that they are a great bunch of students who excel on the track and in the <br />classroom. <br />Councilmember Kirsits made a motion to adopt this Resolution by acclamation. <br />Councilmember Kelly seconded the motion which carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3655-06 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON <br /> COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br /> BEND, INDIANA, PUBLICLY <br /> COMMENDING THE LASALLE <br />GIRLS’ <br /> INTERMEDIATE ACADEMY <br /> SOCCER TEAM <br />FOR WINNING THE <br /> 2006 SOUTH BEND SCHOOL <br /> CORPORATION’S TOURNAMENT <br />RD <br /> CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THEIR 3 YEAR <br /> IN A ROW <br />Whereas, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is proud to <br />recognize that LaSalle Intermediate Academy, in addition to being one of the premier <br />Magnet Schools in the South Bend Community School Corporation also provides and <br />promotes athletic programs and opportunities which allow girls to learn and enjoy the <br />sport of soccer as well as enhance skills which are taught at the highest level by their <br />coaches and managers who promote fair play and good sportsmanship; and <br />3 <br /> <br />
