<br /> Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above Quotations �
<br /> were referred to Community & Economic Development and their consultant for review and �
<br /> recommendation. After reviewing those quotes, Mr. Bill Schalliol, Community & Economic �
<br /> Development recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and I
<br /> responsible bidder Jackson Trucking & Excavating, Inc., in the amount of $14,000.00.
<br /> Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded

<br /> Mr. Phil Custard, Purchasing, advised the Board that on March 28, 2011, bids were received and
<br /> opened for the above referenced materials. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Custard
<br /> recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders
<br /> in the following amounts:
<br /> 1) Alexander Chemical—Chlorine (Item 1)—2,000 Lb Tank at$389.00/Ton
<br /> 2) Alexander Chemical—Chlorine (Item 2)— 150 Lb Cylinder at $68.00/Cylinder
<br /> 3) Pencco - Fluorisilicic Acid (Item 3) at$586.75/Ton
<br /> 4) F2 Industries-Potassium Permanganate (Item 4) at $2.14/Lb (55 Lb Pail)
<br /> 5) Watcon- Phosphate Sequestrant(Item 5) at$1.09/Lb
<br /> 6) Morton-Bulk Salt(Item 6) at $182.81/Ton

<br /> Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bids be

<br /> Mr. Rob Nichols, Engineering, advised the Board that on March 28, 2011, bids were received �
<br /> and opened for the above referenced project. Since the opening, Mr. Gilot informed the Board �
<br /> that Ms. Cathy Toppel, Code Enforcement, discovered that the funding was not available for
<br /> properties listed as Item 2 and Item 4. Therefore, after reviewing those bids, Mr. Nichols I
<br /> recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders
<br /> as follows:
<br /> 1. Company: Jackson Trucking&Excavating
<br /> a) Amount: $74,000 (Items 1,3, and 5-9 with Items A1 & A2) I
<br /> 2. Company: Torok Excavating
<br /> a) Amount: $18,908 (Item 10)
<br /> Additionally, the Construction Contracts were submitted for approval. Mr. Gilot made a motion i
<br /> that the recommendation be accepted and the bids be awarded as outlined above, and the Board i
<br /> reserve the right to award Items No. 2 and 4 to Jackson Trucking, the lowest responsive and i
<br /> responsible bidder, should funding become available. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion, which �

<br /> Mr. Rob Nichols, Engineering, advised the Board that on March 3, 2011, quotations were �
<br /> received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Mr. i
<br /> Nichols recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
<br /> bidder, Slatile Roofing & Restoration, Inc., 1703 South Ironwood Road, South Bend, Indiana
<br /> 46613, in the amount of $35,000.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the �
<br /> recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell
<br /> seconded the motion, which carried.
