Since the opening, Mr. Gilot informed the Board � <br /> that Ms. Cathy Toppel, Code Enforcement, discovered that the funding was not available for <br /> properties listed as Item 2 and Item 4. Therefore, after reviewing those bids, Mr. Nichols I <br /> recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. Company: Jackson Trucking&Excavating <br /> a) Amount: $74,000 (Items 1,3, and 5-9 with Items A1 & A2) I <br /> 2. Company: Torok Excavating <br /> a) Amount: $18,908 (Item 10) <br /> Additionally, the Construction Contracts were submitted for approval. After reviewing those quotations, Mr. i <br /> Nichols recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible <br /> bidder, Slatile Roofing & Restoration, Inc., 1703 South Ironwood Road, South Bend, Indiana <br /> 46613, in the amount of $35,000.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the � <br /> recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above.
