PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mr. Gibney noted that there is a lot of construction <br />going on south of Memorial Hospital, with curb cuts and <br />metal roll bumpers coming out, removing trees growing <br />in middle of parking areas. We began last fall by putting <br />a new face on the Bartlett Street parking garage. We are <br />working full speed ahead to enhance that whole drive <br />coming into South Bend. The land in front of the <br />Masonic Temple will be landscaped. Memorial Hospital <br />lends all that parking for free parking for special event <br />nights at the Morris Civic Auditorium. We estimate that <br />the work will be done by July.. <br />Ms. Jones asked whether we will be done with the <br />medical TIF. Mr. Gibney responded that the hospital is <br />generating that medical TIF and we're putting it back <br />into improvements. It provides other benefits as well. <br />Mr. Gibney added that he was at the Rink site and work <br />is still in progress.
