Board of Pub lic Saf ety. <br /> - Gentle�ten: <br /> This afternoon a man by .th� name of 1'�rthur �7alsh, Broad- <br /> v��ay Hotel, and his attorney, Harold r:Tiller, ca.11ed at <br /> � the station and reported that ��ahile �;Valsh was being , <br /> booked at the Police station a quantity of supplies was � <br /> taken from his car. <br /> �:'lalsh v�as arrested July 28, 1932, on a drunk charge , also � <br /> operating an automobile ��aithout lights and an open <br /> muffler �.t I,incoln ':Jay East and Sample Streets and tivas <br /> booked b,y the Desk Sergeant at 2:05 A.2.T. He �vas brou�ht <br /> to the stati on in his car by �:Zotor Patrolmen Polinski <br /> and Kolaszar. <br /> ';dhen I learned from a certain souree that a quanti ty of <br /> cigarettes , tobacco , razor blades and packages of aspirin <br /> tablets had been �aken, I personally notified the <br /> officers concerned �o r eturn the stolen arti cles to the <br /> Desk Ser�eant at once. After this man '7alsh �ras released <br /> from eourt he checked the articles that v�ere turned over <br /> � to him with his sales reports and he says that he is still <br /> missing articles valued at :�24.89 . In other `��ords he is <br /> charged, according to his statement, by his company �vith <br /> '� eigarettes, tobacco , razor blades and aspirin tablets to <br /> I the value of the ab ove men ti oned sum. <br /> The men at the station house �.vho admitted their part <br /> � and returned. articles follows: <br /> Officer DeRose returned one carton of ci�;arettes, <br /> _ playing cards and razor �blades. <br /> � ' Officer Kolaszar returned t��o cartons of ci�arettes, <br /> tt��o decks o� playing cards and some razor blades. <br /> ; Officer Polinski returned a quanti ty of tobacco. I <br /> '� Officer Blake returned three cartons of cigarettes, <br /> � - some tobacco and one care of 24 pkts. of tazor blades. <br /> 2'his man �`Jalsh and his attorney have instructed me that it will <br /> t e necessary to reimburse the company for the alleged shortage. <br /> � �'hey feel that if the shorta�e is not made up by the officers <br /> , <br /> �- -- - - - - - - - : <br />
