6. Ms. Paula Garis presented the Board awards that were recently given by the Indiana <br /> Parks and Recreation Association at their annual meeting. They were for <br /> Programming-Equestrian Ride at Potato Creek State Park and Events- The Chris <br /> Wilson Pavilion Concert Series in conjunction with the Community Foundation. <br /> III. The next order of business was unfinished business. <br /> 1. Opening of Chemical and Fertilizer Bids for 2011-Randy Nowacki <br /> The Board tabled this item until the end of the meeting. <br /> IV. The next order of business was new business. <br /> 1. Request to Approve Arborist Licenses <br /> The following licenses were presented for approval: <br /> a. Landmark-Solliday Inc. <br /> Landscaping i. Ballew Landscape Construction <br /> b. B and B Floral Adventures j. Michiana Tree Service <br /> c. Kachur Tree Service k. Miramontes Tree Service <br /> d. Doug's Mishawaka Tree 1. Leonard's Landscape &Tree <br /> Service m.K&R Tree Service <br /> e. San-Mar Tree & n. American Tree Care, Inc. <br /> Maintenance o.The Cutting Edge <br /> f Walt Temple Tree, dba p.TruGreen <br /> Curb Appeal q.Wayne's Tree &Landscape <br /> g. Super Tree, Inc. r. Serenescapes (New) <br /> h. Kevin's Tree &Landscaping of Michiana, <br /> Michiana Tree Service was deemed to not have met the insurance requirements. <br /> They will be asked to provide a current insurance certificate that demonstrates at <br /> least $1 million per occurrence. <br /> Dr. Kelly made a motion to approve all the renewals and new application,with the <br /> exception o f Michiana Tree Service. Mr. Mullins seconded the motion. It was <br /> passed <br /> 2. Requests for Use of Parks- <br /> Ms. Harriman requested the Board approve the following requests: <br /> a. Howard Park- 9/24/11-Out of the Darkness Walk <br /> b. Seitz Park- 8/13/11- Suicide Prevention Run <br /> c. Howard Park- 6/18/11-Eco Fest <br /> d. Rum Village- 3/26/11-Notre Dame Disc Golf Tournament <br /> e. Howard Park- 9/18/11- Crohn's Disease Walk <br /> f. Howard Park- 9/10/11-Amanda Gives Back Walk <br /> g. Seitz Park- 8/20/11- Interdenominational Minister Alliance <br /> h. Howard Park-4/16/11-March for Babies Walk <br /> Mr. Carleton asked the Board to approve these requests.
