of City Plan that will continue to enhance the quality of life for the people of South <br /> Bend," commented Sharon Kendall,Director of Community & Economic Development. <br /> Jeff is a graduate of Michigan State University, with a degree in Urban and <br /> Regional Planning. He comes to South Bend from East Lansing, Michigan where he <br /> worked as a Research Assistant in the Urban and Regional Planning Program at Michigan <br /> State University. In his position,Jeff was involved in gathering and analyzing data <br /> relative to community and economic development. During his college career Jeff was <br /> awarded two scholarships through the Urban &Regional Planning Program for merit- <br /> based academic performance, and was involved in mobilizing community development <br /> efforts in urban neighborhoods as a member of Americorps,National Civilian <br /> Community Corps. Jeff also is a member in the American Planning Association. <br /> "We are pleased to have Jeff Vitton join the Department," stated Pam Meyer, <br /> Director of Community Development. "Jeff's varied work and community experiences in <br /> urban planning will serve the Department and South Bend well, as we continue in <br /> partnership with our commercial corridors and neighborhood leaders." <br /> - 30 - <br />
