656 <br />Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. Mr. E. M. Morris absent. Mr. A.H. <br />Rice, acting President. I . <br />Mr. F. M. Jackson appeared before the Board and presentedproposed plat of <br />Sub. Div. of Bank Out B. in. Henry Leer's Sub. of the west part of lot 4 in the partition <br />of the estate of Samuel Leer.. The same was referred to the City Civil Engineer. <br />Mr. Roberts of the Indi.,na and Uicirdga,n Electric CompzaiW appeared before the <br />Board and presented a blue print of Boulevard l gjiti icp system on Jefferson Boulevard- <br />f'rora Eddy Street to Jacob Street. The .Board approved of the same as follows:— 40 Watt <br />Lamps same as on St. Louis Street Boulevard. Discontinuing cluster lamp at southeast <br />corner of Eddy Street and. Jefferson Boulevard. <br />Mr. Rudolph Elbel appeared before the Board and filed a complaint that he was <br />f unable to locate sewer tap in front of lot No. 10 Burrou ivs AdeU tion on. Short Navarre <br />Street. The matter was referred to the City Civil Extineer to be taken up with the <br />contractors. who constructed said sewer. <br />Communication received From the Postal —Telegraph Cable Company in regard to <br />✓ moving their pole lines on Lincoln Highway West, to the Cit-ynlimits. back to curb line, <br />also asking perm p!z on to set forth eight fifty foot poles commencing at the C.S.&S. <br />R.R. on Lincoln Way west any to the City Limits. The pole and wire inspector reported <br />that no poles were allowed to stand on Michigan. Ave. from Forth Scott Street to Olive <br />Street under ground Ordinance No. 1690. The Board ordered that the same be held up. <br />Mr. Chas. Hagerty, attorney for Thomas Williams. Plumber appeared before <br />1 the Board in regard to Mr. Williams being unable to locate sewer taps on lots 7 &8 <br />Vail's Addition on William Street. Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. C.H.DeFrees <br />Contractor for said sewer to get in touch with Mr. Thomas Williamsplumber and locate <br />taps on said lots. <br />Petition filed with the Board for a light at corner of Orange and Fremont <br />f Street. <br />¢bxtimuation certificate of Bond No. 779331 for One Thousand. Dollars of <br />r the South Bend Home Telephone Company filed by the American. Surety Company and approved <br />by the Board. <br />The following complaints were reported on by D.C. Layton., Street Cam- <br />f missioner and. placed on file. <br />Dumping of s.sl�!es in. Calvert Street and Marine Street. Signs were put up <br />by Chief of Police M.F.Kerr. <br />Mr. Mountjoy promises to attend to defective sidewalk at 116 Miltou Ave <br />Call up iia Thirty days. a <br />Mr. C.C. Shively has been ordered to repair defective sidewalk at N.W. <br />corne-r of Sample and Lafayette Street. S.Carll. <br />Pale and wire inspector reported. that Indiana & Michigan Elec. Co. pole <br />was already removed to the proper place at rear of 909 Forest Avenue.
