5 E3 <br />Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 36 :for the opening of <br />an alley between Notre Dame Avenue and St. Peter Street from Corby Street to Howard St. <br />Tn.the City of,South Bend,Indiana• <br />In the above matter property owners appeared and remonstrated against <br />said opening, but no written remonstrance was filed. All remonstrances were over— <br />ruled and thereupon, being Fully advised in the matter the Board takes final action <br />on said resolution, confirming without modification,'all former action taken on the same. <br />The. Board therefor declares the above property in all things condemned <br />and appropriated for public use, the Board now orders that a list' or roll be prepared <br />of all the owners or holders of property and of vaulable interests therein sought to be <br />6aken or to be injuriously affected, which said list of roll shall also describe the <br />property beneficially affected. <br />The following resolution was approved by the Board. <br />The City Civil Engineer having repotted, in the matter of the Improve— <br />ment. -of the roadway of Johnson Street from Michigan Avenue to Vassar Avenue, under <br />Improvement Resolution No. 343,1914. that no petition was filed by the resident free— <br />holders whose property abuts upon said street asking to have the street paved with any <br />other kind of material other than the kind specified by the Board, which the Board finds <br />is true_, and improvement resolution No. 343,1914, heretofore adopted is in all things <br />approved and confirmed, said portion of said Joh nson Street ie hereby ordered improved <br />with Nelsonville Brick, in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore <br />adopted. _ <br />Board of Public Works. <br />October 6th.,1914. <br />E.M. Ave. to Vassar, under Improvement Resolution No. 343. 1914 <br />was awarded to H. U. Barnes with Nelsonville Brick. <br />The City, -Civil Engineer filed the following estimated costs . <br />Estimated cost of pipe sewer on Grant Street from Huron St. to <br />''Division St. for the amount of..... .............................................. 1,655.00 <br />Estimated cost -of pipe .severer on Division .St. from Meade Street to <br />r/Olive Street -at the amount of ...................... .............................. 29199.50 <br />e , <br />The Board decided to have Boulevard Lights on Vistula Avenue and <br />Sample Street to Ernsperger Street in stead of arcs. Also beginning at the intersection <br />of Portage Avenue and Hudson Avenue;tnence north on Hudson Avenue to Riverside Drive; <br />thence on Riverside Drive to Lafayette Street; thence south on Lafayette Street to <br />Monroe Street (where tungsten: lights are now located.) <br />By unanimous consent of the Board the dontract for the grading of <br />�Dubail Avenue from Hign Street to Bale Avenue, was awarded to H. L. Davis for the <br />amount of $1,277.16 <br />
