4 9 Ej Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present. J Bids were received, .,opened and read for the Pavement on Johnson Streetfrom Michigan Avenue to Vassar Avenue. The same were referred to the City Civil Engineer for tabulation to be reported back this evening at 7:45 P.M. / Bids were received, opened and read for curb and walk on South side of J Fox Street from Miami Street to E. Line of Demler ' s 2nd. Addition. The same were read and referred to the City Engineer for tabulation to be reporters back to the Board at 7:4:5 P.M. this evening. Jof Mr. R. W. The following report was filed by the City Civil Engineer. Board. of Public Works City of South Bend, Ind. Gentlemen: - In the matter of improvement on Cottage Grove Ave. from s Michig ;nAve. to Portage Avenue, I beg to report that no petition was filed asking for a di 'ferent kind of pavement from that specified by the Board in your preliminary order of Sept., 8th.,1914. Very respectfully, WM. S. MOORE, City Engineer. The following resolution was unanimously adopted by the Board. The City Engineer having reported, in the matter of the Improvement of the roadway of Cottage Grove Ave. from Michigan Ave. to Portage Avenue, 1.under Improvement Resolution No. 33591914 that no petition was filed by the resident free- holders whose'property abuts upon said street asking to have the street paved with any other kind of material other that the kind specified by the Board, w ieh the Board finds is true, and Improvement Resolution No. 335 1914 ,heretofore adopted, is in all things approved and confirmed, said portion of said Cottage Grove Ave. is hereby ordered improved with Sheet Asphalt, in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted. The same was read and placed on file. Bond and contract for water connections on Cottage Grove Avenue from Michigan Avenue to Portage Avenue signed by William H. Burke as Principal and John E. Fischer as surety was approved by the Board. Communication received from Mr. Guy Coleriek, City Attorney of Fort f Wayne, relative to grading steeets, the same was read. and placed on file. The following applications for the setting or temporary sign boards were placed on 1 filed by the Board. Billboard at Corner of Hill and Madison Streets. J n Shankts Add. on Mishawaka Avenue. at Studebaker Add. at 1307 TT. Washington Ave. " at J. M. Studebaker Acid. on Cor. Lafayette St.Y.M.C.A.
