REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY„ 14.2011 39 <br />Bid was signed by: Mr. Todd Bell <br />Non - Collusion Affidavit was in order <br />Non - Discrimination Commitment Form was completed <br />Five percent (5 %) Bid Bond was submitted <br />BID: $1,387,434.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littreil, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bids were <br />referred to Engineering and their consultant for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS — 2011 TRUCKING OF BELT - PRESSED WASTEWATER BIOSOLIDS <br />FOR LAND APPLICATION WASTEWATER <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referenced project. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- <br />County News, which were found to be sufficient. The following bid was opened and publicly <br />read: <br />TRUCKS R US INC. <br />23942 State Road 2 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />Bid was signed by: Mr. James Burger <br />Non - Collusion Affidavit was in order <br />Non - Discrimination Commitment Form was completed <br />Ten percent (10 %) Bid Bond was submitted <br />BID: $80.00 Per Hour /Per Truck (Tri -Axles & Quad Axles) <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bid was <br />referred to Environmental Services for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF QUALIFICATIONS — HYDROELECTRIC FEASIBILITY STUDY — PROJECT <br />NO. 110 -0928 EECBG <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Qualifications <br />for the above referenced project. The name of the following firm submitting a Qualification <br />statement was opened and read: <br />LAWSON- FISHER & ASSOCIATES <br />525 West Washington Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Qualification was submitted by Mr. Sky Meadors <br />Mr. Gilot noted the qualifications would need to be reviewed, and are not based on a bid amount <br />that can be read. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, <br />the above Qualification was referred to the Energy Office and Engineering for review and <br />recommendation. <br />OPENING OF PROPOSALS — INSTALLATION OF 45KW HYDROELECTRIC TURBINE — <br />PROJECT NO. 111 -010 EECBG <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Proposals for <br />the above referenced project. The following Proposals were opened and read: <br />KOONTZ- WAGNER CONSTRUCTION SERVICES INC. <br />3801 Voorde Drive <br />South Bend, Indiana 46628 <br />Proposal was submitted by Mr. Anthony Maloney, III <br />Amount: $117,117.00 <br />MARTELL ELECTRIC INC. <br />4601 Cleveland Road <br />South Bend, Indiana 46628 <br />Proposal was submitted by Mr. John Martell <br />Amount: $167,420.00 <br />
