Officer . r;Zyers as very sarcastic in his explana.tion to the Board and stated he fel as he was being persecuted. The Board was inclined to believe that C ie� Kuespert had the right slant on the matter, and on motion of ��ir. Gadaez, seeonded by �Tr. Zong , Of'ficer �;iyers ti�as fined five days p y from August lOth to 14th, inclusive, and in addition to this O�fice 1;�yers was severly reprimanded by the I�embers of the Board and warned not to appear before them for the same o�fense a�ain. Police oman' s report read, approved and placed on file. The Clerk read the following letter from Alfred D. Hollis and Hav rstock, undertakers and funeral direetors of 2528 River Par , i,Iishawaka Avenue , South Bend, telephone 5-0489, have agr ed that they ��ill take eare of all ambulance calls which com to the Police Department of the city of South Bend out- r„ sid of the corporate limits o� the City of South Bend and T:iis' awaka and furnish their ov�n ambulance and drivers and run the rish of collecting �rom the injured party, if- col ectible, if not, they v�i11 charge the rish to advertising.
