POLICE DEPARTMENT - Chief Lane present: <br />Matters pertaining to the Police Department were discussed with <br />the Chief, but there being no matters of importance with reference to <br />the operation of the department no action was taken. <br />The question of target practice for the development of the members <br />of the department was discussed with the ,Chief and the Board authorized <br />the purchase of six 22 caliber target pistols. This practice has been <br />done heretofor with regular 38 special revolvers and this new procedure <br />will create a considerable saving in the expense of this work. <br />Application for position on the Police Department of Leonard Noehs <br />was presented to the Board and ordered.placed on file. <br />The matter of supplying typewriter for use in the Auto Detail was <br />mentioned and the Chief advised that he possibly could secure a second- <br />hand typewriter from the Studebaker Corporation at, a reasonable price. <br />He was requested to investigate and report his findings. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:30 A.
