The Secretary brought up the question of police bonds for <br />year and recommended that the opportunity of placing the bonds <br />policemen be given to James Woodcock to cover all bonds for the <br />year. The Board authorized this to be done. <br />249 ,-, <br />next <br />of <br />ensuing <br />The matter of financial obligations of several of the Officers on <br />the force was brought to the attention of the Board and it was decided <br />to have the following Officers appear before the Board next Monday, <br />December 16th: Elmer Coil, William Ortman and Vernon Ellis. <br />. A Petition was presented to the Board by the Deutscher Fortbildungs- <br />Verein signed by its Officers and Trustee, requesting the Board to <br />enforce non-parking on the south side of Indiana Avenue from Kemble <br />Avenue to Franklin Street. After discussing the matter, the Board <br />decided to call a meeting of all interested on Monday morning, <br />December 16th at 9:00 A. M. The Secretary was instructed to notify <br />such interested persons. <br />Special police commission was issued to Sears Roebuck & Company <br />in favor of John Leader while employed at that store. This commissio�i <br />is accompanied by a 01,000.00 bond. Commission was approved by the <br />Board. <br />Special police commission was issued to Rocco Simeri of 509 Crescent <br />Avenue, which was accompanied by a X1,000-00 surety bond. Commission <br />was approved by the Board. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:45 <br />ATTEST: _1�4�4Clerk <br />A. M. <br />Chairman <br />SPECIAL MEETING December 14, 1935 <br />Special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on <br />December 14, 1935 at 10:30 A. M. All members were present. <br />It was regularly moved by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Woodward <br />and regularly carried that a compromise settlement in the case of <br />Frank Roytek be accepted and that Mr. Roytek be reinstated in the <br />Electrical Department in the Signal Station as of February 1, 1935, <br />with the understanding and stipulation agreed upon and approved by the <br />Court that Frank Roytek is to receive the sum of $403.28 as compromise <br />salary for the period above mentioned and that Mr. Roytek is to report <br />to Mr. qualls, Superintendent, for assignment of duties on December°16, <br />1935. <br />It was regularly moved by Mr. Woodward, seconded by Mr. Anderson <br />and regularly carried that Mr. Richard J. Gillen, operator in the - <br />Electrical Department and Signal Station, be transferred to the Police <br />Department, subject t-to passing physical examination, assignment to <br />duties by the Chief of Police and under probation for six month's <br />period. This appointment to fill the vacancy created by the resig-- <br />nation of James Perry. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at <br />11:15 A.
