MEETING October 14, 1935 <br />Regular'meeting of the Board'of Public Safety was held Monday, <br />October 14, 1935 at 8:45 A. M. Drug Co. 4.50 <br />Bermans 29.92 Peltz - Kaufer Co., Inc. 4.65 <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT - Chief Freeh present: <br />The Chief brought up the matter which was referred to in the previous <br />Meeting in reference to repair of Seagrave Aerial Truck on which the . <br />cost of repair was submitted by the Studebaker Corporation in the amount <br />of $2,480.00. This "would be in the nature of a new Studebaker Tractor to <br />be used with the hook and ladder equipment now at the Central Station. <br />After fully considering the matter, it was regularly moved, seconded and <br />carried that the City Attorney -draw up an Ordinance to be introduced into <br />the Council at its meeting tonight, appropriating the above sum from the <br />General Fund for this purpose. <br />It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the Secretary be <br />ti instructed to draw.u.p a Resolution to be submitted to the family of <br />Earl J. McGinn, City Fireman, whose funeral was today. The following <br />Resolution was communicated to the family: <br />WHEREAS Almighty Gad, in His all knowing Providence, has seen fit <br />to remove from the ranks of the Fire Department Earl J. McGinn and <br />WHEREAS the said Earl J. McGinn has distinguished himself, his <br />family and his City by noteworthy service as a member of the Fire <br />Department; and said service being greatly appreciated by all the <br />residents of said City and City Officials, it is the will of this Board <br />that an expression of sympathy and of the high esteem held by this Board <br />of the said Earl J. McGinn be transmitted to his widow and that a copy <br />of this Resolution be spread on the Minutes of this Board. <br />Given under my hand and seal this 14th day of October 1935. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />Secy. <br />The matter of purchase of fire hose was considered and it was <br />decided to purchase the following for immediate delivery: <br />250 ft., 22 11, D.J.
