M. <br />Chairman <br />ATTEST: Clerk <br />t <br />SPECIAL MEETING October 10, 1935 <br />Special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was called in the <br />Mayor's office on Thursday, October 10, 1935 for the purpose of <br />receiving a communication from Assistant Chief Horace M. Hamilton <br />asking to be relieved of the duties of Assistant Chief of Police and <br />to be assigned to other duties on the Police Force. <br />Upon hearing the request, it was regularly,moved, seconded and <br />carried that the Board accept same and that Horace M. Hamilton be <br />transferred from the office of Assistant Chief of Police to the office <br />of Captain on the South Bend Police Force and that to fill the vacancy <br />thus created, upon recommendation of Chief of.Police Lane, it was <br />regularly moved, seconded and carried that William Diedrich be made <br />Assistant Chief of Police, all subject to assignment by Chief of Police <br />Lane.
