ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT - Mr. Qualls present:
Matters pertaining to his department were discussed.
DOG POUND?:
The situation in the Dog Pound was discussed by the Board, due
to serious illness of Dog Pound Master, Mines good, who has not been on
duty since August 12th. His son has been doing the work of the depart-
ment. Mrs. good, in a conversation with the Secretary, raised the
question of pay for the son in taking his father's place, also the
question of father's vacation. The Board decided that due to the fact
that no provision was made in the budget for substitution in the Dog
Pound that the father receive pay for two weeks of his absence, to be
considered as his vacation, and that the son may continue to work at the
same salary received by the father. The Secretary was instructed to
notify Mrs. Wood accordingly.
b1r. Anderson advised that he had been approached by Mr. Irving
Hurwich of Mishawaka with reference for cab stand for the Indiana Cab
Company on the north side of Jefferson Street at Michigan Street. The
Secretary was instructed to notify Mr. Hurwich that permission to have
a stand at this point would not be granted.
The meeting adjourned at 11 :15 A.
