210,9t,, <br />,, <br />he Assistant Chief also informed the Board that in making up the budget <br />or the year 1936 it should seriously consider supplying the Police Depart - <br />ent with four additional motorcycles which were very much needed. <br />The matter of creating a Captaincy for the 4 to 12 P. M. shift was <br />iscussed with Assistant Chief Hamilton and, as there is no allowance made <br />or this office during the year 1935, the matter of placing a Sergeant at <br />he position of Captain at Sergeant's pay from now until January 1, 1936 <br />as discussed and it was then regularly moved, seconded and carried that <br />ergeant William Diedrich be advanced to Captaincy under these conditions <br />ubject to further consideration of pay in the 1936 appropriation. <br />The matter of vacation of Scott Street property of the Fitterling <br />rucking Company and subsidiaries was discussed with the Assistant Chief <br />nd the Secretary was instructed to look up the previous Minutes and <br />etermine the length of time this Trucking Company was given to vacate and <br />o communicate with the Chief of Police the instructions to see that the <br />ishes of the Board are fully carried out. <br />A communication from Mr. John B. Campbell was received calling attention <br />o dangerous intersection at Hudson .Avenue and Riverside Drive.
