A discussion was had between the Board,'the Chief of Police and Mr. <br />Bradford, Superintendent of the Water Works, with reference to the <br />Water 'forks taking over the repair work of the police cars and motor- <br />cycles and it was decided to make this change at once, beginning Y rch <br />5th at'8 A. M., relieving Herbert Mifflin and George Fuzy and retain - <br />ing Fred Klooz for the time being from the police garage. The Water <br />Forks is to make all necessary repairs to police cars and motorcycles <br />and is to give preferred service.. They are to furnish all repair parts <br />and make monthly cost charges to the police department -for such service. <br />Labor charges to the police department °arc; to be at cost. The Water <br />Works is to maintain night service from 8 P. M. to 4 A. M. To facili- <br />tate immediate service the dater Works borrowed from the police garage <br />`the following tools: 1 Prentiss Vise r- 2 Jack stands - 1 Grease gun - <br />1 crow bar 1 Walker jack - 1 creeper - 2-Electric drills - "1 Blow <br />'torch - 1 breast drill - 1 bolt cutter - 1 fire extinguisher. <br />' Official police bonds were approved for the following: Walter 0. Hosler, <br />Wm. H. Hudak, Sam Koczorowski, Leo Berner,:Joseph Hecklinsk , Steve <br />`Paczesny, John`C. Howard, L. J. Hosinski, °Adam Rozanski, Wm. Szymanski. <br />`Continuation certificates were-approved on the following police bonds: <br />Fred H. Miller, Ernest Nelson, Vernon C. Ellis, G. C. Schuttrow. <br />The Board approved appointment of special officers as follows: <br />Harry Roderick for the Progress Club <br />Geo. E. Moyer for special police <br />officer. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT -Chief Freeh present: <br />Matters pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />The Board approved application of Pete Sabinos•to the fire department <br />and ordered it placed on file. <br />ELEOTRICAL DEPARTMENT-Mr. Qualls present: <br />A copy of letter from the Mayor to Mr. Qualls was read instructing him <br />to relieve Ira Hunsberger of his duties -in the Electrical Department <br />as of March 15, 1935 and to-replace him with Mr._,W. L. Hyatt effect- <br />ive March 16, 1935. The Board concurred and instructed Mr.',Qualls to <br />.be governed accordingly. <br />DOG POUND: <br />A letter from the Mayor was read giving notice.that Claude Calloway <br />will be relieved of his duties as Dog Pound Master and Street Mark- <br />ing on March 15, 1935 and that he be replaced by Mines.L. Wood on <br />March 162 1935. On motion regularly seconded and carried, the Board. <br />concurred. <br />The meeting adjoured at 11:30 A.
