/,��� <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC ',,,,'ORKS <br />AND SAFETY FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />CALLED -IN SPECIAL SESSION BY THE <br />MAYOR OF SAID CITY THIS 2ND <br />DAY OF JANUARY, 1935. <br />law <br />It appearing to the members of this Board that the Mayor of <br />the City o I f South Bend, by virtue of his powers as mayor, has <br />heretofore, to-wit: on the lst day of January, 1935 notified one,, <br />Charles Burns, that he is no longer City Sealer of the City of <br />South Bend. And it appearing further to the Members of the Board. <br />I <br />that the action of said Mayor, in declaring said office vacant and <br />in removing said Charles Burns from his pretended claim to said <br />office., should be and is hereby confirmed; the Board hereby adopts <br />the action of the Mayor as its action and declares said, office, <br />vacant and instructs the Clerk of this Board to notify the State <br />Inspector of Weights and Measures that said office in the City of <br />South Bend is vacant; and requests that an immediate examination <br />be held for the purpose of filling the vacancy, and also requests <br />that the said Charles Burns be notified that he is no longer on <br />the payroll of said city. <br />Given under our hands and. official seal this <br />day of <br />January, 1935. <br />MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC VTORTKS <br />AND SAFETY. <br />Attest: <br />145" <br />1 <br />
