Organization Meeting <br />A speoial -meeting -of the combined Boards of Public Works and Public <br />Safety was held on ednesdau January 2nd 1935 in the office of the <br />V <br />Mayor. <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Freyermuth for the purpose <br />of organization. Present"- Mayor Freyermuth, Edwin Hunter, Fred Woodward, <br />and Fred JViderson. <br />It was moved by Mr Hunter, seconded by Mr. Woodward, and carried that the <br />Boards be organzed as a combined Board of Public Works and Public Safety. <br />It was.now moved by Mr. Hunter, seconded--by Mr. Woodward. and carried, <br />that the combined board organize separately as Boards of Public Works, Ell <br />and. VuVlic Safety, and that a Chairman be selected for each Board., <br />Mayor Freyermuth now called a meeting of the Board of Public Safety <br />Anderson Hunter Woodward <br />Ifir ..X=tzx nominated Mr. NoaftiErd, seconded by Mr. IxDlmxzmx far Chairman <br />of the Board of Public Safety. Elected. <br />'The reorganized Board$ was -mow called by Chairman Hunter. <br />It was *oved,, seconded and carried that the appointments made by Mayo-r <br />Freyermuth be approved as follows; <br />Lawrence J. Lane, Chief of Police. <br />Wm. Freeh, Fire Chief <br />Chas. Pettm, Pu pa_ Asst. Fire Chief <br />C. 0. Thurn, Clerk. <br />It was moved,, seconded and carried that action of Mayor Fr/yer� 7uth, that <br />tr <br />the position of City Sealer be declared vacant as of Jan. sit 1935 <br />and that Charles Burns shall not receive any pay after that date by reason <br />of his claim, be approved., and the Secretary is instructed to do notify <br />Mr. Burnes. <br />It was decided ti-i'at the appointment of the following is to be..withheld <br />until further-notide and further investigation is made. <br />Asst. Chief of Police <br />Dog Pound Master <br />Head of Electrical Dept. <br />City Sealer. <br />It was moved and seconded that weekly meetings be held on Mondays at <br />8:30 A.M. and the next meeting to be held on Jan. 7th, 1935. Carried. <br />Appointment of Karl R. Smith as City Court Bailliff was'approved by motion. <br />f. <br />Petition for new Fire Station in the South West portion of the city, <br />signed by Joseph Sipoca and others was placed on file. <br />The meeting adjourned at 4:10 P.
