249 The City Civil Engineer reported on the petition for sewer on East Donald Street from Michigan% St. `to Witwer. Avenue, and recommended ,that the same should be granted. The Board instructed the Clerk to prepare resolution on same and set for a hearing. Communisation received from Gustave F. Schmidt of Chicago, Ill, relative to gas lighting in the City. The same was read and placed on tile, and clerk instructed to pl a cknowlledge Communication received from The Termal Syndicate relative to Gas lighting in the City, the same was read and placed on tile. The Clerk was instructed to acknowledge the same. Bond signed by Loren H. Vander Karr for the sum of One Thousand ($1000,.00) Dollars end contract for the repairing of all asphalt pavements in the City of South ✓ Bend, Indiana from May 12th.,1914 until March ist.,1915 was approved by the Board and the same was placed on file in the office of the Board. The Street Commissioner made a report on the followi-rig defective walks in the City, and the Board ordered Thirty day (30) notices sent,. and if not put in'within thirty (30) /d.-iys same to be constructed under Improvement Resolution No. 294. Fo.r_the construction of �Y*alks on'Various Streets in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Sidewalk in'f'ront of 816-91S South Lafayette Street, owned by Mr. Haeske. ;Sidewalk at 1001 South Main Street, Sidewalk on the east side of South Scott Street in line with the North line of Ford Street north to the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Ry. Co. tracks, owned by the Lake Shore & filichigan Southern Ry. Company. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 22. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Inna; That it is desirable to vacate the following: Begin at tile southeast corner = lot three (3) Stover and Witwerts Addition to the Twon of Myler now a part of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Thence west to the south west corner -of lot eleven (11) in said Stover & Witwer's Addition; thence south fourteen (14) feet to the north west corner of lot ten (10) in said Addition thence east to the 'north east corner of lot four (4) in said Addition; thence north fourteen (14) feet to the south east corner lot three (3) in said Stover & Witwer Addition which point is the place of .beginning.
