followed along with the proper maintenance of traffic. The findings from the entries will be
documented for use in the sewer assessment.
B. LFA will conduct a field survey to verify some as -built elevations and determine necessary
datum adjustments. Survey will also be required in areas where critical as -built data may not be
available. In addition, it maybe necessary to survey some of the items (water lines in basements,
etc.) that were noted in the questionnaires collected as part of Task 1.01A. A survey
memorandum will be developed documenting the results from the field survey.
A1.03 Data Assessment and Development of Potential Alternatives
A. LFA will review the data obtained in items A1.01 and A1.02 to determine potential issues with
the sewer infrastructure for the study areas. Simplified hydraulic calculations will be performed
to determine the potential problems and, if possible, remediation to the issue. If complex
hydraulic modeling is necessary then the information will be provided to the City for further
evaluation by the City's modeling consultant. It is our understanding from meeting with the City
that LFA will not conduct hydraulic modeling and any required modeling will be performed by
the City and the results provided to LFA.
B. LFA will review the 2014 and 2016 storm events and document the particularities between the
two storms and also provide comparison with current local design storm events.
C. LFA will research potential, cost-effective alternatives to reduce flooding issues within the study
areas. These alternatives will be focused on what can be done with potential issues identified in
items A1.01, A1.02, and A1.03A with possible modification to the existing infrastructure to
address flooding. Community wide initiatives will also be addressed.
D. A report will be prepared documenting the above items and the potential alternatives.
Preliminary drawings will be provided where necessary as well as opinions of probable cost for
the reviewed alternatives. This report will be provided to the City in PDF format.
A1.04 Public Meeting
A. LFA will prepare for and attend a public meeting to present the results of the study to the
public. It is assumed for this proposal that the City will provide the venue for the meeting and
assist with the meeting announcement to the public.
PART 2 -- ADDITIONAL SERVICES
A2.01 Additional Services Requiring Owner's Written Authorization
A. If authorized in writing by Owner, Engineer shall furnish or obtain from others Additional Services
of the types listed below.
1.
