Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.M. -All members present. <br />Hearing given on Improvement Resolution No. 300 :for -Concrete Pavement <br />k1 on First a'I-iey West. cif Park Avenue from Navarre Sti!eet to Lac Monte Terrace. I the City <br />of South Bend, Indisna. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appearedand no remonstrance <br />was filed. The Board thereforefind in each and every case in said Improvement that the <br />Benefits to the property and to the. City, of South Bend are equal to the .estimated cost. <br />of said improvement and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed end ap- <br />proved. <br />Resolved, that notices be published on the 17th., day of April,,1914 <br />and on the 24th., day of April,,1914 in the South Bend Daily News -Times, stating that this <br />Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. <br />on the 5th., day of May 1914. Indiana- <br />Gentlemen: - <br />The matter of bad condition of pavement along the street car tracks in <br />various parts of the down -town district especially has been called to the attention <br />of the Board of Public Safety, by the Fire Department. The-Clerl was instructed. to <br />prepare resolution on the sameg and set for a hearing. <br />A remonstrance was filed with the Board against the appropriating of a strip <br />of land lying from lst. alley North of Miner Street to Sorin Street for the extention <br />of Frances Street. <br />Bond and contract signed by McGrath and Luther as principal and Equitable <br />Surety Company of St. Louis,, Mo. for the sum of Eighty ($90.00)Dollars was approved <br />Vby the Board. or Water connections on St. Louis Street f.rom South Bend Avenue to <br />Corby Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 299. <br />Bond and contract shed <br />by McGrath and Luther as principal and Equitable <br />'Surety 'Company, of St. Louis, Mo. as sutetiesl, for the sum of Two Handred. and tx�n <br />($202-00)Dollars for water connections on Ford Street from Arnold Street to I.I.&I. <br />Ry. Company right of.way 1, under improvement Resolution No. 299,, was approved by the Bar-, <br />Contractors bond of Louis E. Zeiger signed as principal and J6seph Zeiger, <br />henry C.
