2 (3 <br />Board met in regular seesion at 10:00 A.M. <br />All members present. <br />Bond and contract 9ror improvement of Parkovash Avenue from Iroquois <br />Street to Lafayette Street, under Improvement Resolution No., 259.signed by Henry De Vos <br />as prinicipal and United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Baltimore,Md. as sureties <br />was approved by the Board. <br />Bond wnd contract for improvement ,of Tonti Avenge from Lafayette Street <br />to Iroquois Street by pipe sewer., under improvement Resolution No. 260, signed by Henry <br />Fidelity and Guaranty.- Company of Baltimore, Md. <br />De Vos as prinicipal and United States <br />as sureties, wa-s approved by the Board. <br />• Petition received and read for a Hose House in the vicinity of the <br />corner of Michigan Avenue and•Johnson Street. The same was read and placed on file. <br />The Board instructed the Clerk to sent a fire (5) days notice to <br />Hilton Hammond, Contractor building the Public Comfort Station at the cornerofWashington <br />Avenue and Main Street to remove the barricade and clean up the corner. <br />Communication received from the Indiana and Michigan Electric Compa my <br />✓ in regard to five --light post lighting, and also blueprints showing sections of the City <br />with locations of lamps. The same were read and placed on file. <br />Bids on Various Streets were before the Board. and the same were <br />✓ re ;e cted. <br />Petition for aa: street light at the end. -,of Prairie Avenue,called the <br />/ Chapin St. car lines was filed with the Board, and the same was read and referred to the <br />Street Commissioner, for investigation:. <br />Petition filed with the Board for a grade on Portage Avenue from <br />North line of Morris Park Addition to North City Limits, The same was read and referred <br />to the City Civil Engineer for investigation. <br />Petition filed with the Board for a street light on E. Bowman Street <br />at the intersection of High Street. The same was read and referred to the Street <br />Commissioner for investigaton. <br />The Board ordered the Clerk to notify the Grand Trunk Western Ry. <br />Company,through their Attorney, to remove the un—used stone piers now standing under <br />their present bridge, to include all of the stone work in their construction-) and <br />to remove all of the surplus fill made by their company for its convenience in un— <br />loading of material between St. Louis Street and the river according to the agreement - <br />at the time of its con6truction. <br />Communication received from the Oliver Chilled Plow Works,relative to <br />J the dumping of cinders aria brick bats into the river back of the Orpheum Theatre. The same <br />was read and paced on file. <br />
