25 S <br />Tuesday February 17th. 1,1914 —7:45 P.M. Vontinued. <br />J In regard to the grade, curb and walk on Dale Avenue from Dayton Street to <br />Bowman Street, under Improvement Resolution No,294. All bids rejected on account of <br />being over City Engineers estimate and the same was ordered readvertised. <br />Same to be advertised February 21st.,1914 and February 29th., 1914 in the South Bend <br />Daily Tribune and the bids to be received March 17th.,1914 at 10:00 A.M. <br />Contract for pipe sewer on Parkovash Avenue from Iroquois Street to LaNyette <br />Street, under Improvement resolution No. 259 was awarded to Henry De Vos for ° <br />theamoutt of............................................................2,309.90. <br />Contract for pipe sewer on Tonti Avenue from Iroquois Street to Lafayette <br />f Street under Improvement Resolution No.260, was awarded to Henry De Vos fore the <br />amount of.................................................................$2,267.40 <br />The Board instructed the Clerk to purchase the following supplies for the <br />✓ City Hall. Rope for the flag staff. One Half (1/2) barrel soft soap and three (3) <br />bars of Bon Ami. <br />The Board ordered a light placed on Quimby Street between Eddy Street end <br />Francis Street. <br />Communication received and reed from the Board of School Trustees in <br />J regard to Petition for pipe sewer on Leer Street, also petitioning the Board to <br />place a pipe sewer on Calvert Street leading to the Lincoln School. The same was <br />placed on file. e ° <br />The Engineer reported on the following petitions. <br />J <br />To_ the Hon. Board of Public Works, <br />of the City of South Bend,Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: — <br />Regarding the petition for a sever on Adams Street from Michigan Avenue <br />to Vassar Avenue. I beg to report that I have investigated the matter and find there <br />are 6 names on the petition and 11 on the remonstrances. I therefore' recommend tiv,t the <br />petition be placed on file. Board of Public Works, <br />/ of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />V Gentlemen:— <br />Reard.ing the petition for sewer of Howard Street from St. Louis Street to <br />Notre Dame. Avenue, I beg to report that I have investigated the matter and recommend <br />that the petition be placed on file. <br />Very truly, <br />• WM. S. MOORE <br />City Engineer. <br />In..regard to a hearing on the Michigan Street Trunk sewer under Improvement <br />Resolution No. 216. The Board deferred all action on the same until April 7th.', <br />1914 at 7:45 P.M. <br />Street Commissioner reported on Street signs in the City. The Clerk wad <br />instructed to write to sign companies and secure prices on signs. <br />
