Introduction to Operator's Manual <br />This will include a breakdown of each section of the manual, <br />operational controls, safety shut down, daily and weekly <br />maintenance, and trouble shooting. ._ <br />----I <br />In-house <br />Upon delivery of the unit to the City of South Bend, the <br />01�JNO <br />Training: <br />successful bidder will provide a factory authorized trainer to do <br />on -street training for the operators. <br />This training will include a review of daily and weekly <br />maintenance and proper operations of this equipment. <br />Training will continue as long as the City of South Bend deems <br />necessary. The successful bidder will be responsible for the <br />cost of training the first five (5) days and the City will pay a <br />reasonable hourly rate for any additional training past that time. <br />Lodging and mcals for the trainer are the responsibility of the <br />bidder. <br />Continued <br />Additional information and answers to questions from the i <br />(L�O <br />Training: <br />shall be provided by the manufacturer for the life of the <br />machine at no cost to the City of South Bend. <br />Inspection and <br />The successful bidder shall arrange a final inspection of the <br />�DNO <br />Delivery: <br />combination jet rodder/vacuum machine upon delivery with the <br />manager of the City Equipment Services Division. If it is <br />found that the equipment does not conform to the specifications <br />as written, the City reserves the right not to accept the unit until <br />such time as all corrections have been made by the bidder to <br />meet the specifications. <br />­2Q <br />Criteria for <br />The award of a contract pursuant to this specification, if any be <br />(�E_�O <br />Award: <br />made, will be made within thirty (30) calendar days after the <br />opening of the proposals to the lowest responsible and <br />responsive bidder whose proposal complies with all of the <br />requirements prescribed. Until the final award to the contract, <br />however, the right is reserved by the City to reject any and all <br />proposals and to waive technical errors. <br />Delivery Date <br />Bidder must state an accurate delivery date which shall not <br />YE" <br />& Performance <br />exceed 150 days from the date of bid award. Liquidated damages of <br />$ 100.00 dollars per day, per unit will be assessed by the City <br />and deducted from any monies owed to the vendor if the units <br />are not delivered complete to the City by the stated date.
