Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members were present.
<br />Petition received, read and placed on ,file asking for the opening of Wiliiam Street from
<br />Colfax Avenue north to Michigan Avenue, thence north from Marion street to Navarre St.
<br />The same was referred to the City Engineer for investigation.
<br />,/ Motion made by Mr. Lambert and seconded by Mr. Nied.balski to the effect that the City
<br />Engineer prepare a declaratory resolution for the opening of N. William s Street north
<br />from ColfaN Avenue to Michigan Avenue, also, to open a street from Marion Street north
<br />from point of intersection of Navarre Street and report the same to the Board for their
<br />adoption.
<br />The following guarantee bonds were released by the Board on brick pavements.
<br />The Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, does hereby releases
<br />that certain numbered 031957 dated October 28th.2 1912, in the sun of 2,258.00-guarantee-
<br />ing the brie pavement on Division Street from Michigan Street to Chapin Street, thereto-
<br />fore completed by Hoban & Roach under improvement Resolution No. 90 which said bond was
<br />executed and delivered on said date to said City of South Bend, Indiana by Hoban-.& Roach,
<br />prinicipals, and American Surety Company of New Fork, surety; hereby releasing and dis-
<br />charging the said Hoban & Roach and the said American Surety Company of New York from any
<br />and all further liability on said bond so executed and delivered.

<br />teeing the brick pavementon Walnut Street from Colfax Avenue to LaPorte Avenue, there-
<br />tofore completed by C.H.Defrees under improvement Resolution No. 112. which said bond
<br />was executed and delivered on said date to said City of South Bend, Indiana, by C.H.
<br />Defrees, principal, and American Surety Company of New Y ork, surety; hereby releasing; and
<br />discharging the said C.H.Defrees and the said American Surety Company of New York from any
<br />and all °further liability on said bond so executed and delivered.

<br />Street, first alley south of Washington Street from William Street to Taylor -Street,, first
<br />alley south of L. S.&IA. S.R.R. from Chapin Street to Scott Street and alley west of Lafay-
<br />ette street from LaSalle Avenue to, Madison Street, theretofore completed by C.H.Defrees
<br />under improvement Resolution No. 117,118,120,124 and 175,. respectivelywhich said band was
<br />executed and delivered on said date to said City of South Bend, Indiana by C.H.Defrees'
<br />prinicipal, and American Surety Company of New York, surety; hereby releasing and discharg-
<br />ing the said C.H.Defrees and the said American Surety Company of New York from any and all
<br />further liability. on said bond so executed and delivered.
