<br />OPENING OF PROPOSALS NATURAL GAS SUPPLY FOR CITY OF SOUTH BEND
<br />OWNED FACILITIES (NATURAL GAS SUPPLY)
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed proposals for
<br />the above referenced project. Mr. Gilot stated the proposals will be reviewed and scored based
<br />on a matrix system, by a team made up of City representatives. He read the names of the
<br />following companies submitting proposals:

<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Dorau, seconded by Mr. Mueller and carried, the above proposals
<br />were referred to the Building Facilities review team for review and recommendation.
<br />REJECT PROPOSALS AND APPROVE RE -ADVERTISING — UPDATES TO CITY OF
<br />SOUTH BEND OCCUPIEDOFFICES AT THE COUNTY -CITY BUILDING (VARIOUS
<br />DEPARTMENT FUNDS)
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed proposals for
<br />the above referenced project. Mr. Gilot stated Mr. Adam Parsons, Sustainability, requested the
<br />Board reject the proposals and approve to re -advertise. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Mueller, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the above proposals were rejected and the request
<br />to re -advertise was approved. Attorney McDaniels noted the project needs to be advertised not
<br />purchased through the open market.
<br />AWARD BID — WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS 2018-2019 (VARIOUS
<br />OPERATIONAL BUDGETS)
<br />Mr. Bradley VanOosterum, Utilities, advised the Board that on March 27, 2018, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced chemicals. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />VanOosterum recommended that the Board award the contracts to the following lowest
<br />responsive and responsible bidders in the amount of unit prices:

<br />Mr. VanOosterum noted they will go to the open market for Items No. 7 and 14 which received
<br />no bids. Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid
<br />be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, which carried.
