<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the above quotations
<br />were referred to Organic Resources for review and recommendation.
<br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS — BECK'S LAKE: OVERFLOW VALVE MATERIALS
<br />PROCUREMENT (UTILITIES, SEWAGE WORKS/OPERATIONS, CONTRACTUAL
<br />SERVICES OTHER)
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed quotations for
<br />the above referenced project. The following quotation was opened and read:

<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the above quotation
<br />was referred to Engineering for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENTS— SALE OF CITY OWNED
<br />PROPERTY —111 AND 117 DUNDEE STREET
<br />Mr. Andrew Netter, Community Investment, advised the Board that on November 21, 2017, bids
<br />were received and opened for the above referenced property. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />Netter recommended that the Board award the property to the sole, responsive bidder, Eunice
<br />Delacruz, 3102 W. Washington Street, South Bend, IN 46619 in the amount of $830 each for a
<br />total of $1660. Also presented at this time were the Purchase Agreements for each property.
<br />Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded as outlined above and the Purchase Agreements be approved. Ms. Dorau seconded the
<br />motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — ONE (1) OR MORE, 2018 OR NEWER, 3/o, TON FOUR WHEEL DRIVE
<br />PICKUP TRUCKS — SPEC D (TRAFFIC AND LIGHTING CAPITAL LEASE)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on April 10, 2018, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced vehicles. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Jordan Ford, 609 E. Jefferson Blvd., Mishawaka, IN 46545 in the amount of $44,526 each, for
<br />the Base Bid plus Alternate Nos. 2 and 4. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Dorau seconded the
<br />motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — ONE (1) OR MORE, 2018 OR NEWER MID -SIZE EXTENDED CAB FOUR-
<br />WHEEL DRIVE PICKUP TRUCK — SPEC F (CODE ENFORCEMENT CAPITAL LEASE)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on April 10, 2018, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced vehicles. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Gates Chevy World, 636 W. McKinley Ave., Mishawaka, IN 46545 in the amount of $39,470
<br />each, for a total of $78,940 for the Base Bid plus Alternates Nos. 2 and 3. Therefore, Ms.
<br />Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined
<br />above. Ms. Dorau seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — THREE (3) MORE OR LESS 2018 OR NEWER TWENTY-EIGHT (28)
<br />CUBIC YARD FRONT LOADING REFUSE TRUCKS FOR SOLID WASTE — SPEC G
<br />(SOLID WASTE CAPITAL LEASE)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on April 10, 2018, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced vehicles. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Central Indiana Truck Equipment Corporation, 2128 S. Harding Street, Indianapolis, IN 46221 in
<br />the amount of $374,320 each for a total of $1,122,960. Mr. Hudak noted Pyramid Equipment
<br />was the low bidder, but was non -responsive to the specifications in sixteen (16) areas, including
<br />lower quality steel on the floor and sides of the unit; welded forks rather than movable forks;
<br />50% less thick steel forks; no transducers; and two (2) joy sticks rather than one (1) as requested.
<br />Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded as outlined above. Ms. Dorau seconded the motion, which carried.
