99 Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Lambert absent. /Bids were received on Michigan Avenue Grading and paving with gra vel ,under Improvement Resolution No. 205 in the City of South Bend, Indiana., The same were opened and read and referred to the City Engineer -for tabulation to be re- ported back Tuesday July 29th.,1913 at 10:00 A.M. ✓ Bids were received for grade, curb -and walk on Harris Street fromFord Street -to North line of the Grand Trunk .Railway company's right of way. The same were opened, read and referred to the City Engineer for tabulation to be reported back Tuesday July 29th.21913. at 10:OOA.M. ✓. Partial estimate allowed Harry N. Barnes, contractor on grade, curb and walk and Pavement on Prairie Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 221. for the. amount of... ....54.00 ✓Partial estimate allowed B. -T. Fries,Contractor for grade, curb and walk on Various Streets under Improvement Resolution No. 242. for. the amount of ............. .............. 41.60 ✓Remonstrance received from property owners on Spnnyside Avenue, remonstrating against pipe sewer on Sunnyside Avenue from East Jefferson Blvd. to LaSalle Avenue with laterals extending westward on Colfax Avenue and LaSalle Avenue. The same was read and placed on file. ✓Communication received from Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Ry. Company in regard to defective walk on Wayne Street, stating same would be repaired at once. The same was read and placed on file. ,-"Indiana &Michigan Elec. Company was granted permission to set the following poles. To set 3- 35' poles on the west side of the first alley east of St. Louis Street,south of Corby Street. To reset 2 - 30' poles in the alley between LaSalle and Colfax Avenue,just es.st of Scott and 1 -35' pole on the southwest corner of Elm and Colfax Avenue. Rice for a grade, curb and walk on the west side of Fellows Street from Dayton Street to Dubail Avenue. The same was read and referred to the City Engineer. Bond and contract for Grade, curb and walk on Union Street from Ford Street to lst. alley Sou South of Ford Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 256. signed by H. N. Barnes as prin- cipal and George Whiteman and T. C. Barnes as sureties, was approved by the Board. Bond and contract for water taps on Prairie Avenue from Webster St, to Grant Street,under improvement resolution No. 279, signed by W. H. Burke axdxx as principal and J.E.Fisher as surety was approved by the Board. ,/Bond and contract for water taps on St. Louis -Street from Jefferson Blvd. to South Bend Aven under Improvement Resolution No. 253, signed by W. H.Burke as principal and John E. Fisher as surety was approved . by the Board. ✓Bond and contract for water connections on Lindner Street from La Porte Avenue to Michigan Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 282. signed by W. H. Burke as principal and John E. Fisher as surety, was approved by the Board.
