Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present <br />✓Bids were received and opened on dater Connections on St. Louis .Street from - <br />Jefferson Blvd. to South Bend Avenue ,under I provement Resolution No. 283. In, the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. The same were referred to the City Engineer for- <br />tablulation to be reported Friday Duly 18th. ,1913 at 10:00 A.M. <br />,/Bids were received and opened on water connections on Lindner Street from LaPorte <br />Avenue to Michigan Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 292. The same were re- <br />ferred to the City Engineer for tabulation to be reported back Friday July 18th.,193 <br />✓ P.1at of Edward Perkins Addition presented to the Board. The same was referred <br />back to Mr. Perkins with instructions that the interested parties get together <br />regarding State Street. <br />✓Plat of E. Louis Kuhns 1st. S nnyside Sub -Division presented to the Board, and the <br />same was referred to the City Engineer for investigation. <br />✓Petition presented to the Board for grade <br />St. Louis Street to St. Peter Street. The <br />investigation. <br />on alley North of Madison Street - from <br />same was referred to the City Engineer for <br />(Petition presented.'to the Board for sewer on St. Peter Street from Sorin Street to <br />South Bend Avenue. The same was referred to the City Engineer for investigation. <br />Partial estimate allowed to Joseph Szweda on Grade, curb and walk on Huron Street <br />Under Improvement Resolution No. 186. -to the amount of...................$2W.48 <br />The Board approved of the Plat of Chapoton's Place, . in the City of South Bend, <br />/ St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />f Communication received and read from A. H. Rice, regarding the petition for Trunk <br />sewer on Leer Street. The same was placed on file. <br />/Order for seven (7) eight (81) foot -brooms for the street sweepers was approved by <br />the Board and ordered from the Studebaker Corporation, at the rate .of Ten ($10.00) <br />Dollars each, or Seventy (1670.00)Dollars for the lot. <br />7 <br />Permission was granted the Indiana & Michigan Elec. Co. to set poles as follows: <br />To set 3 - 45' poles on the east side of Lafayette St. south of Broadway. These <br />are to replace the poles damaged during the fire at the South Bend Oil Co. <br />To reset one 35' pole on Eddy Street at the first alley north of Jefferson also <br />to reset one 35' pole 1201. west of Eddy St. inthe'first alley north of Jefferson Bld <br />To reset two 45' poles, one 120' east of Chapin St. on Robinson, and one 2401` <br />east of Chapin St., on Robinson. <br />Report of the Balances for the month of June,1913 presented to tke Board. <br />,/Bond of Thomas "-Cusak Company (A Corporation of Indiana) as Prinicipal and The <br />United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company of Baltimore,Maryland as surety, wfor <br />a surety for sign boards, was approved by the Board. Amount ($2,000.00) Bond. <br />✓Bond and contract for pavement on High Street, signed by C. H. Defrees as principal <br />and American Surety Co. of New York as surety, was approved by the Board. <br />Remonstrance filed aginst the Pavement on Pennsylvania Avenue The same was placed <br />on file. <br />0't <br />
