<br />The Board approved of the Assignment of the Interstate Construction Companysof Hammond,
<br />Indiana to George W.Stewart and Samuel L.Sheets, as follows: —
<br />We, the Board of Public Works of the City of South BNed, Ix.diana,hereby con—
<br />sent to the assignment by the Interstate Construction Company, of Hammond, Indiana, to
<br />George W. Stewart and Samuel L. Shheets, partners, doing business under the firm name and
<br />style of Stewart.Sheets & Company, of the . City of Vincennes, State of Indiana,_ of the con—
<br />tract made by this Board with said Interstate Construction Company for the construction of
<br />the Boman Creek Trunk -Sewer, in this City, and of all right and interest of said Con—
<br />struction Company in and to said contract..

<br />SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 265.
<br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works ofttehe City of South Bend, St.
<br />Joseph, County, State of Indiana, That it Is desired xecessary to improve KEASEY STREET
<br />FROM CARROLL ST. TO FIRST A'_jLEY WEST.
<br />By constructing a cement curb along the north side of said Keasey Street
<br />in accordance with the profile, details, drawings and specifications on file in the office
<br />of the Department of the Board of Public Works of said City; and such improvement is now
<br />ordered.
<br />The cost of said improvement, .including the cost of street axd alley in._
<br />terseetioxs, shall be assessed upon the real estate abutting on said Keasey Street, all accor—
<br />ding to the method and manner provided for in an Act of the General Assembly of the State
<br />of Indiana, entitled, An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations," approved. March 6,1905, and
<br />in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions of all amendatory, and supplemental aetfi
<br />thereto, passed by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana. Assessments, if deferred
<br />are to be paid in ten equal annual installments, with interest at the rate of Six per cent
<br />per annum. A bond or bonds, shall be issued to the contractor in payment of such work, un—
<br />less the property owners pay said assessment before said bond or bonds are issued. Under no
<br />circumstances shall the City of South Bead, be ,or be held responsible for any sum or sums,
<br />due from said property owner or owners for said work or for the ,collection of the same, or
<br />for the payment of any bond, bonds, certificate of certificates, issued to said contractor
<br />in payment for _such work, except for such moneys as shall have been actually .re eeived by the
<br />City from the assessments for such improvement, or such moneys as said City is by said above
<br />entitled Act required to pay. All proceedings had, and work done in the making ,of said
<br />improvement, assessment of property, collection of assessments and issuance of bonds therefor,
<br />shall be as provided for said above entitled Act and amendments thereto.
<br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 24th. day of May,1913
<br />c,)d on the 31st.; day Of May 1913 in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a
<br />hearing on this Resolution in its office in the City Hall on the 27th., day of June, 1913
<br />at 7:45P.M.
