422 Copy of 'remonstrances filed on Widening of Fellows Street. July 11,1923. TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC 77ORKS OF THE CITY OF SUTH BEND, INDIANA: - We the undersigned owners of real estate effected by improvement resolution No, 69 being for the widening of Fellows Street, hereby remonstrate and object to the assessment, of damages as -fixed by your appraisers and as finally approved by your honorable Board for. the Beason that the damage as allowed is grossly inadequate for the loss that will be occasiond of our land. We the undersigned owners of the property on Fellows Street -in the City of South Bend Indiana, assessed in the assessment roll now on file , object and remonstrate against the assessment of damages assessed to said premises in the sum of Two thousand five hundred ($20500.00) Dollars upoh, the following grounds and for the following reasons, topwit:- 1st. That the assessment of damages to,said prperty in the sum of $2,500.00 is to low And is not in a sufficient stun. 2nd. That the assessment of damages in the sum of $2,500.00 for the injury anddamages suffered by the owners because of the condemnation and appropriation of the land to be taken does not make and is not sufficient to make full and reasonable compensation for the land taken and the injury to the property not take which is and does result to the remainder, SAMUEL ROBINSON Sr. SAMUEL ROBINSON Jr. BY YEAGLI'Y & WOLFE . Hearing had on Resolution No. 1216 for the pipe sewer on Sarcome Avenue from,Lincoln Way West to La Porte Avenue, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed. The Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon lakes final action on said resolution as originally adopted and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 21st. day of July 1923 and on the 28th. day of July 1923 in the South Bend News Times and Tribune in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday August 7th., 1923. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
