1) Reviews of site construction will be completed to ensure the Contractor(s) is providing the level of quality that is required for the project; 2) It is anticipated that the Engineer will attend one (1) construction meeting every two weeks (I total) during the construction period; 3) Based upon the on -site observations and evaluations of the Contractor's Applications for Payment, assistance to the Client will be provided to determine the amounts due to the Contractor; 4) The Engineer will provide clarification/interpretations of the Contract Documents if such interpretations are necessary for the proper execution or progress of work; 5) The Engineer shall render written recommendations on claims, disputes and other matters in question between the Owner and Contractor relating to the execution or progress of the project as provided by the Contract Documents; 6) Review and approve, or take other appropriate action and forward to the Client for final disposition, the Contractor's submittals such as Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples with respect to Contract Documents produced by the Engineer; 7) Prepare responses to Request for Information (RFI) provided by the contractor; 8) Prepare Change, Orders for the Owner's approval and execution; 9) Provide field reports describing observations, problems and recommended solutions; 10) Provide punch lists based on site observations; 11) Conduct inspections to determine the date or dates of Substantial Completion and the date of Final Completion; 12) Review and approve, or take other appropriate action on, the Contractor's list of items to be completed or corrected. A1.07 Skyway Marquee Sign: The Engineer shall provide the following services for the new Skyway Marquee Sign: Meet with City of South Bend and Century Center staff to discuss the overall design intent for this sign and potential location. 2. Review available building as -built drawings to determine nearest power souse and possible electrical runs to the identified location of the sign. In addition, the Engineer will review with the Owner potential data communication feeds to the sign, 1 The Engineer will facilitate a meeting with the City of South Bend and Century staff and a sign fabricator representative to discuss potential sign options and costs. 4. Upon selecting the type of sign, the Engineer will prepare the necessary Contract Documents and details for bidding purposes. Submittal of these plans for City review will be at a 30%, 60% and 90% completion. 5. The Engineer shall prepare a Construction Opinion of Probable Cost and will submit this to the Owner for review and budgeting purposes.
